Product descriptions

PFA
Chemours
Dupont
PFA

PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) nonstick coatings melt and flow during baking to provide nonporous films. PFA offers the additional benefits of higher continuous use temperature (260°C/500°F), film thicknesses up to 1,000 micrometers (40 mils), and greater toughness than PTFE or FEP. This combination of properties makes PFA an excellent choice for a wide variety of uses, especially those involving chemical resistance.

ptfe
Chemours
Dupont
PTFE

PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) nonstick coatings are two-coat (primer/topcoat) systems. These products have the highest operating temperature of any fluoropolymer (260°C/500°F), an extremely low coefficient of friction, good abrasion resistance, and good chemical resistance.

FEP
Chemours
Dupont
FEP

FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer) nonstick coatings melt and flow during baking to provide nonporous films. These coatings provide excellent chemical resistance. In addition to low friction, FEP coatings have excellent nonstick properties. Maximum use temperature is 204°C/400°F.

ETFE
Chemours
Dupont
ETFE

ETFE is a copolymer of ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene and is also sold under the Tefzel® trademark. Although not fully fluorinated, ETFE has excellent chemical resistance and can operate continuously at 149°C/300°F. This resin is the toughest of the fluoropolymers and can be applied at film builds up to 2,000 micrometers (80 mils) to provide a highly durable finish.

S

These solvent-based liquid coatings are formulated with special blends of fluoropolymers and other high-performance resins to improve toughness and abrasion resistance. Because the film components stratify during baking, most of the fluoropolymer properties (such as low friction and nonstick character) are retained. The resins provide adhesion and abrasion resistance.

Plastisol
Plastisol

Plastisols are fluid forms of vinyl plastic and PVC. Plastisols are very versatile, offering numerous application and processing possibilities. Cured (or fused) plastisol has the same basic physical properties commonly associated with other vinyls: flexibility, toughness, outdoor stability, antistatic, abrasion and chemical resistance.

Rilsan
Rilsan

Rilsan®'s outstanding properties are due to its compact microscopic crystalline structure with ringed spherulites. Its versatility with many different properties makes it suitable for use in a wide range of applications which require high performances in extreme environment conditions.

Halar
Halar

Halar® ECTFE, a copolymer of ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene, is a semi-crystalline melt processable partially fluorinated polymer. Halar® ECTFE has proven to be an effective solution for process engineers in search of long-term chemical, temperature, corrosion and permeation resistance.

powder coating
Powder Coating

Powder coating is a decorative and durable finish applied to products used by consumers and industry. It is available in virtually any color. The finish is rust free, scratch resistant and cost efficient.

plastcoat
Plastcoat

Plascoat thermoplastic coating powders protect metal for hundreds of different applications throughout the world ranging from dishwasher baskets to fences.

Polyarmor
Polyarmor

Polyarmor® is a multi-purpose thermoplastic powder coating that utilizes polyethylene copolymer chemistry to meet and exceed a wide range of performance attributes including ultra high adhesion, impact and corrosion resistance, ultra violet (UV) protection, and graffiti resistance.
Polyarmor thermoplastic powder coatings are also PVC-free, contain no phthalates, and heavy metal compliant, making Polyarmor the best choice for exceptional performance and environmental safety.
